What the hell, I emailed it but I’m more embarrassed by my idea than cash flow and need to get over it:

Basically I want direction or help on I guess jelling my idea on
trying to help programmers who have just on career drift get back to
loving coding and being good at it for personal fulfillment in a way
that will help them career wise. I want to do it through a weird mix
of pseudo-yogaish spiritual practice view of programming and something
I’ve taken to calling “The ABBA Principle” (“Pick a thing and do it
well and the fact that 1,000 other people have done it well won’t
matter nor will the fact that the girl next to you has invented sliced
bread and sliced cheese at the same time.”) and make enough to live in
Atlanta near my gf.

Of someone with a clue to tell me I’m fucking nuts and get back to
writing .NET webservices instead of trying to create a hippy
programming community that will allow you to live by doing it and
writing really great Perl for the web.

So I guess that is consulting and I’d be willing to pay full price but
by installment like I did with OBS even though my last payment was two
months late.

And if the anniversary deal is gone at least read the ABBA Principle
to Naomi and let me know if it made either of you smile.

Hiya,

I’m really late (happy anniversary!) so I’m not going to ask for anything crazy. I’m going to ask for something that has been “coming soon” for quite a while now.

I’d just really, really like transcripts for the SpeakEasy calls. I can’t even tell you how much I would like them. There are eleventybillion calls now and I will never, ever be able to listen to all of them, which is starting to make me wonder why I keep paying the monthly fee (except I don’t want to get locked out of the awesome charter member price).

I read much faster than people can talk, and I can make notes etc. on transcripts, and then there’s that whole hearing-impaired accessibility thing (which doesn’t affect me, per se, but would make you look really good for doing it).

Please? Pretty please? PLEEEEEEEEEEASE???

Happy, happy anniversary!

(And oh, booo! to have a broken tailbone for your anniversary! My uncle once fell out of a hammock and broke his tailbone. So I know from his story just how absurd AND painful it is. Ow, ow, ow… and of course, one can’t help ::giggle::)

Here’s what I’d like:

An hour of consulting time for a pair of custom-hand-knit-just-for-you, pink, BEADED socks. (This is not the pair I’ve already promised you just ’cause. Those are on the needles – one done, t’other one started.) However, if you think you might wear the socks with boots, then I retract the beads. I know from personal experience that wearing beaded socks with boots is a painfully bad idea.
