Updates And A Poor Excuse For A Blog Post

Hello, my favorite person in the world. (That’s you, by the way.)

First, the RT Cunningham thing turned out amazingly well. Richard received over $3000 in donations over a 24-hour period and has shut down donations because he has all he needs. The coolness of this is overwhelming. Thank you, IttyBiz readers. You rock.

Next up, thanks to everyone who entered to win the Zen To Done ebook which was subsequently made free. (EDITED TO ADD: Leo stopped by to remind me that it’s not actually free. It’s just no longer under copyright. Subtle but VERY important difference. Thanks, Leo! Note to self: Sometimes the joke falls flat. Accept. Move on.) It is my honor to announce the winner of the ebook is Tzaddi Gordon of Zodomatica. She wins based on my very objective ruling of “Best Use Of The Words ‘Drat’ and ‘Potty’ In A Blog Post.

Lastly, one big fat juicy piece of link love. I don’t remember how I found the blog post I’m about to disclose, likely because I, like Britney Spears, tend to do my web surfing while drunk and high and in the arms of my husky Muslim bodyguard. (That’s not the link, by the way. That’s a link to a piece I wrote on FWW about Britney converting to Islam to marry her paparazzi boss.) I give you:

Walking home last night, a banana fell on my head.

Go read it. While you’re there, read the dude’s About page. Seriously. I’m not joking. “Holy shit” is all I can say.

  1. You, my friend, rock!

I was eating soup while moseying through my feed reader and said to myself “Look! Naomi wrote some stuff, it’s probably a hoot, I better go check it out.” And as I came to the link my first thought was, “OMG some SOB stole my post title.” Then I realized it was my post.

The soup sprayed out of my mouth and blanketed my laptop. You owe me a Macbook. ;o)

    Thanks for the love Naomi.

  3. Hi Naomi … just wanted to clarify. The ZTD ebook isn’t free. I’m still charging $9.50 for it. It’s just no longer under my copyright. There’s a big difference to me, as I still hope to make money off it. :)

  4. [...] Here’s another interesting post I read today by IttyBiz [...]

  5. Ahh, finally! She writes a post dedicated to me!! Now I *know* I’ve made the big times.

  6. @ Jay - Sorry ’bout the MacBook, dude.

@ Leo - Thanks for the reminder. I’ve edited that to reflect. No more midnight blog postings for me. :-)

@ James - As previously discussed, you already made the big times. Now you’re just looking for external affirmation and it’s not good for you, man. You gotta find the happiness within yourself.

  8. Naomi - I read your post on FWW and all I can say is HOLY COW. I read just about every single post you wrote on there - oh wait, does that make me a Worshipping Starfucker?!?!?! Anyhow, just want to say wow, that’s an amazing story and unfortunately I think I’m walking down the same road.

Oh and I checked out scribblesandwords….and somehow accidentally, completely not on purpose ended up on his houseofvain site. HOT.

  9. Gee, a lot happens when you spend a day away from your RSS feeds… Thanks Naomi! I feel almost like a grown-up, free spirit now that I can say such things in public. That cubicle bondage is a faint memory now… ;-)

  10. I’m beginning to suspect I’m NOT your favoritest person in the whole world…sniffle. (g)

  11. @ Bill - Me too. I’m told we have to find the happiness within ourselves. I’m not buying. Sounds granola, if you ask me.

  12. *hits submit and wonders if “granola” is an expression commonly understood outside Quebec…*

Granola: Hippy-like state of zen where all is peace and love. Includes long hair, loose clothing, zitar music, and daisies. Commonly preceded with a joint and followed with alcohol.

  13. @James - I’m on the west coast, and the term is most definitely understood here. Maybe not so much in the prairies. ;-)

  14. @ Naomi - I am not responsible for that comment. Didn’t come from my keyboard…

Where’s your spam filter these days?

  15. @ James - It’s fixed. Breathe. Relax, dude.
