How to write a sales page that looks good, sounds good, and gets people to buy from you.

Easy-Peasy Sales Pages will show you exactly how to do it!

“Thank you for Easy Peasy Sales Pages, Kris. I've written a few sales pages in my time but it's extremely reassuring to have you in my corner.

This course is light years better than the last sales page course I bought –  it's so smart, so kind, so genuinely stress-reducing.”

Clare Holliday, IndieRetailAcademy.com

Do you ever wish that you had an attractive sales page that did a great job of bringing in money every month?

Or that people would say “That sounds PERFECT for me!” when you launch something new, or run a sale?

Or maybe with the economy, you know it’s time to step up your game so that you don’t lose all those people who would have bought your product, if only your sales page was better?

But perhaps there’s been something getting in the way for you.

Maybe you don’t know what should go where. Or you think your writing kind of sucks. Or your head gets swimmy from all the moving pieces.

You know you could do it – if someone could just walk you through the process. If they could give you a template, tell you what to write, and help you choose words that got people to buy, without ever sounding cheesy, salesy or pushy.

You’re not alone.

A lot of people like you just need some gentle handholding, advice and direction to get the job done.

Kris Faraldo

If you’d like a little help “figuring it all out”, keep reading.

On this page, I'll lay it all out for you.

I’ll tell you how I wrote this very page you’re reading now…

…and how easy it can be for you to write one just as good.

The secret to great sales pages

You don’t have to be an amazing copywriter to write a great sales page in a reasonable amount of time. You don’t even have to have extensive graphic design skill or a big budget.

You just have to be able to make decisions.

And those decisions have to be easy, otherwise they just won’t happen. You’ll get overwhelmed, or stop yourself before you even begin.

Any worthy pursuit – writing a book, building a house, and yes, even writing a sales page – is just a series of tiny decisions that you have to make. It’s just a set of small tasks that happen one after the other.

So, “How am I going to write this sales page?” is the wrong question to ask when you’re starting out.

That’s like asking yourself, “What am I going to do with my life?”.

Holy cats, that’s a complicated riddle wrapped in a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a taco. SO MANY HUGE DECISIONS.

Don't be this person!!!

So… we’re not going to do that.

Not from this point forward.

Instead, we’re going to look at the tiny decisions.

The ones that are easier to make, and easier to apply proven templates to.

5 Questions That Make Writing Sales Copy Way, WAY Easier

When you have tiny questions to answer, you just have to make a tiny decision at any given time – and those are much easier than big, complicated decisions.

Here are some examples:

You can answer those tiny questions – especially with a good template and a little hand-holding to support you along the way.

If you want to make sales pages easy, you have to make the steps easy.

You know how hard it’s been to figure it all on your own.

The research. The sorting out whose advice to take. The keeping up with it all.

It’s hard for you to write a sales page in the midst of all that complication. Tons of copywriting advice just sits there in a big ‘ol pile, silently judging you. You don’t know what to focus on, because it all seems so equally important.

All the steps, all the decisions – they’re hard because you have to make them all yourself.

And the biggest decision of all – “Where should I START???” – oh, that’s a killer.

And then you’re avoiding the sales page because it’s just going to make you feel anxious, guilty and bad about yourself.

You need some help making your decisions EASY from now on.

You can start getting that help right here, right on this page.

Shall we start showing you the easier way?

How to write your sales page faster, easier, and with more confidence

Now you know that the secret to writing great sales pages comes down to making all the “decision steps” easier.

But there are 3 key questions that you need to answer first to embark on a writing a sales page with confidence:

  1. What formula or template will you use?

  2. What will you do, in what order?

  3. How will you know when it’s “good enough” to publish?

If you have the answers to each of these questions, you’ll start moving through your sales page quickly, and you’ll be done faster than you could ever have imagined.

And by the end, you’ll be proud of what you’ve created, and confident that it has all the important bits that will get people to buy your product.

Now, you need answers to these 3 questions, don’t you?

By the time you’re done reading this page, you’ll have your answers, and you can start writing sales pages more easily on your own.

So, let’s look at those 3 questions.

Question #1:
What template / formula will you use?

When I first learned how to make a sales page, I used what’s called the “AIDA” formula – the oldest, most field-tested copywriting formula there is.

It’s not only perfect for beginners, but it works every time. You literally can’t fail with it, so it’s what I recommend you use for your own sales pages.

It leads people through the 4 stages of the buying process:

Here's how AIDA works in simple advertisements:

Simple AIDA Example

This is just an ad for a rocking chair in an antique shop, but it uses all 4 elements of the AIDA process.

Now, there’s a few important things you need to know about this ad:

You could turn this ad into a 10-page sales letter, if you just kept adding information to it that was relevant or interesting to the buyer.

Here’s the twist: Every sales page on Earth, every one you’ve ever seen, is just a longer version of this simple ad.

If you can write a phrase, and turn it into sentence, and then turn that sentence into a paragraph, you can write a sales page.

All you have to do is that one thing – expand that initial phrase into something more, adding things that are important to the buyer, and you will have a sales page that does the job VERY well.

I’ll give you my detailed version of the AIDA template now.

Over the years, I’ve written over 80 sales pages using this basic AIDA formula, and the pages I create now take way less time than they did before.

I save time with a custom-built AIDA template, which I’ll share with you in a moment.

It fills in the gaps for what – specifically – goes in each of the 4 stages of the AIDA process.

So this is the answer to the second question:

Question #2:
What will you do, in what order?

This is the backbone of the sales page course you can purchase at the end of this page, but you don’t have to buy it – you can just copy down my sales page structure and use it as your template.

Here we go:

Kris' custom
AIDA sales page template

(If you don't recognize many of the terms for the sections, it's because I made them up for my custom template.)
STAGE 1: ATTENTION
  • Headline – where the reader decides if the page matches up with their interests (Goal: “I’ll take a look at this.”)

  • Opening Connection – short section to introduce what’s coming and prove you understand your target buyer’s goals, desires and struggles. (Goal: “Huh, this sounds like it’s for people like me.”)

  • The Promise of The Page – short section to expand the connection with the reader and make a promise about what they’re going to see next, and throughout the page. (Goal: “Ok, this sounds like something I want to read.”)

  • The First Bridge – short section to give more concrete detail about achieving the desired outcome, creating the initial sparks of curiosity in the reader to move them into the Interest Phase. (Goal: “Ok, I have to see where this is going.”)
STAGE 2: INTEREST
  • The Story – Here’s where you illustrate how the transformation happens (going from the old life / circumstance to the new one). You can do this via 3 types of storytelling, or take an educational angle like I’m doing on this page. (Goal: “Wow, this is really interesting so far – I can see how the change happens.”)

(Note: At this moment, you are currently in the Story section of this sales page.)

  • The Second Bridge – Since the story section is a longer one (even on short sales pages), we move them into the Desire stage by getting them ready for your product details – and how your product is a vehicle for their transformed circumstances. (Goal: “Ok, now I want to know what’s inside.”)
STAGE 3: DESIRE
  • Product Description – Can be the longest part of the page, and includes features and benefits SPECIFICALLY tied to the things the target customer cares about, so that they can understand how the product can help them experience the transformation. (Goal: “Whoa – this is really looking like it could work for me.”)

  • Reinforcement of Desire – Shifting the reader to the action stage, this section reconnects with their specific desires, the possibility of their transformation, and reinforces that you “get” them as a fully fleshed-out human being. (Goal: “I really do want to have this change in my life / circumstances.”)

  • The Third Bridge – This section lets you recap what they’re getting in the product, and is a reinforcement of how the product components can fulfill their desires. (Goal: “Wow, this total package looks like just what I want / need.”)
STAGE 4: ACTION
  • FAQ (optional) – Now we answer common questions, and also use this space to chase away people who aren’t a good fit for the product, and reinforce people who are. This is part of the Action phase because it helps drive a yes/no decision. (Goal: “My questions are answered, and I’m feeling comfortable.”)

  • The Close – In this section, we create a “mirror scene” from the opening of the page, and paint the picture of the customer experiencing their transformation with our product. We also invite them to buy, and remind them of urgency / scarcity elements. (Goal: “Yes, I’m  IN.”)

  • The Guarantee – Naturally, this section states the guarantee, but is also a place to add language to increase buyer comfort and take a stand for your product. (Goal: “Ok, there’s actually no risk here. I trust that I’ll be taken care of.”)

  • Final Call To Action – It’s decision time, and we offer them the opportunity to buy, using all the conversion elements appropriate for this section. (Goal: “I’m getting this NOW.”)

  • Final Nudges (optional) – This section typically contains a “P.S.”, additional testimonials, and other elements designed to help people who are 99% to a “yes” decision to cross that final step. (Goal: “I’ve thought about it, and yeah, I’m buying this.”)

That's the template - but there's still a little bit more.

That covers the structure of your AIDA sales page – what goes in, and in what order.

But there are also other things that I call “conversion elements” that can go, for the most part, wherever you choose.

These include elements like:

Each of these elements takes an effective core page and makes it more likely to convert readers into buyers.

I cover all these within the course, so there’s more details inside.

Now, that brings us to the third question:

Question #3:
How do you know when it's "good enough" to publish?

Here are 3 things I’ve learned about sales pages over the years:

There’s an old expression in copywriting:

If it’s ugly as hell, it will probably sell.”

What this means is that good, targeted copy is what converts. Pretty much regardless of what the page looks like, so long as it doesn’t look so bad it creates trust issues.

In fact, many older sales pages intentionally looked boring and simple because it kept more of the reader’s eyes on the words.

For professional copywriters, images and such are only added when they enhance the power of the copy, rather than distract from it.

(There’s more on that in the course, so I won’t go into it here.)

So those 3 things I mentioned above? About improvement, “good enough” sales pages, and getting the copy done?

They have to be approached in reverse order.

Do this, and you’ll make sales pages quickly and easily, every time.

I have a system for this inside the course you can get at the bottom of this page.

I call it…

The "GROW" Method
for writing easy sales pages

The core concept behind the GROW Method is to start with the smallest “seed” of copy and grow it from there.

It’s exactly like that AIDA advertising example you read about earlier.

Take a few words, or a sentence to start as your placeholder and get it down in each section of your AIDA template. That’s your “seed”.

Once you’ve put a seed in each section, go back and expand the sections one by one – not all at once – so it never becomes overwhelming.

(What to put in each section, again is in the course, if you're interested in learning more.)

Each time you return to a section, you’ll have fresh eyes, so you’ll write better copy based on new ideas you have in the meantime.

Before too long, you’ll be done with your core sales page copy.

Then you "GROW" it
until it's ready.

At that point, you can upgrade the page with key images until it’s “good enough” to be published. You’ll have a page that can sell.

You can publish it right then and there, or you can keep improving it if you’d like.

That’s the GROW process.

In Easy-Peasy Sales Pages, here’s what it looks like.

You can do this at the start to get a “ready-to-publish” sales page fast.

But… you can also use it to constantly increase the conversion rate of your page.

Once your page is “live”, periodically come back and run the GROW process again.

See what you want to add or improve, organize those things into batches, and work on a batch at a time.

Month after money, year after year, your conversion rate will go up.

It's really that simple.

You're about to get very good at making easy, effective sales pages

When you have the right instructions to follow, you can do anything.

And that includes writing a sales page that gets readers’ attention, keeps them interested, sparks desire for your product, and gets them to take action by purchasing it from you.

There will be a checklist. And copywriting tutorials. And a proven template to follow, with detailed instructions on how to make each section of your page do its job well.
